Who likes chocolate mousse but feels guilty when they eat it? All that sugar and cream – definitely not a good look for the hips! :-)

Well feel guilty no more – check out my healthy chocolate mousse recipe – it’s actually good for you!

  • 1 Avocado per person
  • 8 dates per person (first soak overnight in water)
  • 1 tbsp of cacao powder per person
  • 1/2 vanilla pod per person (ground)
  • Strawberries to garnish

  • Grind vanilla pod(s)
  • Blend all ingredients together in a food processor – it’s that simple!
  • Garnish with strawberries and serve

Avocados are an amazing source of healthy fats, potassium, B vitamins and vitamin C, vitamin E and vitamin K.

Raw cacao is rich in magnesium, high in antioxidants and has properties that raise certain neurotransmitters in the brain (serotonin and endorphins) that promote that ‘feel good’ factor and¬†overall wellbeing. Cacao does contain some caffeine which is a stimulant, so don’t go overboard and don’t have it too near to bed time!

Enjoy this yummy mousse over the weekend and don’t forget to share the cacao love with your friends!
